In Bellaire, Texas, Robbie Tolan was shot by an officer in his own driveway, accused of carjacking the SUV he and a friend rode home from the local Jack in the Box, despite the fact that his parents came outside and stated that he was their son and in fact lived in that home and owned that car. He, too, was lying on the ground, though he was physically responding to the officer, looking up and questioning him, because the policeman was holding Tolan’s mother against the garage door. I think we’re all mourning the loss of “News & Notes.” Farai is amazing, and I think it’s one of the best shows on NPR. As much as I love them, I’d rather see those car guys from Boston canceled…
