CosmoGirl! magazine is holding a young women’s filmmaking contest called Take Action Hollywood. One of the finalists, Kiri Davis, replicates the Mrs. Mamie Phipps Clark and Mr. Kenneth Clark 1950 study that asked children to pick the doll they liked best. Black children overwhelmingly chose the white doll, a finding that helped lead to the landmark 1954 Brown v Board of Education ruling that desegregated the nation’s schools.

Many of you have been circulating this video online for months now. Let’s show this tlented – and daring – young sister filmmaker some love. Click on the link and vote for her short – help her win the $10,000 prize she deserves!
