Guest Blog: Patricia Spears Jones on Abortion Doctor George Tiller’s Murder

Domestic terrorism comes in many forms. The murder of Dr. Tiller is one of them as far I am concerned. No one is “pro abortion” but I am very decidely pro choice and women should have all options available to them when it comes to their bodies. The moral/religious decision should be each woman’s and if ysou choose to have a baby or not, I respect the anguish and importance of that choice.

Murdering a doctor is just one more way in which anti-choice militants (clearly a murderer is not “pro life”) have made reproductive choice for all women (esp. teenage girls) more difficult over the past 25 years. It.s 2009, we should be talking about improving health care for all; making sure that all young people have access to contraception without equivocation. As Bristol Palin=2 0has concluded abstinence does not work even if her Mama makes her say so.

I just cannot believe that things have got this far out of hand, but when G. Godon Liddy impugns Sotomayor’s statements because she might have been menstruating when she made them, we are smack dab back in the land of sexism. Our enemies are not asleep. And clearly they are armed and not with “prayer and meditation” but with guns. This is very bad.
