Keli Goff is a fabulous sister, the author of Party Crashing, and in the running to replace Tavis Smiley on The Tom Joyner Morning Show. Check out her site to see how well she’s represented us on MSNBC, CNN, and other networks (if you haven’t caught her already), and vote her in!
Please see her message below:
Dear Eisa,
First of all, thanks so much for all of the support
you have shown me and my book “Party Crashing.”
Sisters like you make it possible for me to keep doing
what I’m doing. With that in mind I wanted to share
some news with you and your readers. You may have
heard that Tavis Smiley is leaving “The Tom Joyner
Morning Show” this week and they are currently
searching for his replacement. I have appeared on the
program a couple of times and would love the
opportunity to become a permanent member of the Tom
Joyner family. With that in mind I am hoping that you
and your friends and readers will visit the show’s
website and nominate me to become his permanent
replacement:

As you know I have spent much the last year appearing
on various television and radio networks trying to
make sure that diverse voices are a part of the
dialogue surrounding this year’s presidential
election. Whether it’s trying to educate others (like
Pat Buchanan on MSNBC : ) on the real role of race in
this presidential election, or educating candidates
and voters on the importance of making the impact of
AIDS in our community a high profile campaign issue, I
have tried to bring our issues to the table–and keep
them there AND make it clear that “our” issues are all
American issues. In any case, if your readers would
like to see me continue to bring these issues to the
public and have a regular platform to do so I hope
they will nominate and vote for me. And if they would
like to learn more about my work I hope they will
visit: www.keligoff.com
Much love,
Keli
