And now, my first contest is afoot!

The quick and dirty…

In a single page explain the purpose of Nzingha in the story. Additionally, what does she represent to not only the parthonites, but to the world? What does she represent to you?

The judges will be looking at grammar, originality in conceptualization, and clarity. Your piece must be based on facts in the story together with your unique thoughts on the story ideas as they pertain to Nzingha.

The contest opens March 13, 2009 at midnight.

Deadline for entries: April 10, 2009 (no extensions)

Prize notification: May 1, 2009

Prize: $250* (two hundred and fifty dollars) + two gift copies of book, signed.

*prize donated by private philanthropist who wishes to remain anonymous

Entries should be typed, single spaced, 12 point Times New Roman font, one inch space all around. No more than one page, one side. Entries must be emailed to zaji@zajiwrites.com before midnight on April 10th.

Entries will be judged by a panel of five judges. The judges include three published authors of more than three dozen books collectively, an avid reader and scientist of 25 years, and a professional working at a research firm.
